Wanshengli geocells can be used with many types of temporary and permanent pavements, including porous asphalt and porous block paving. They can be used to protect the root structure of trees from damage caused by the compaction due to vehicular traffic. The porous surface ensures that water and essential nutrients reach the tree roots. By laying a non-woven geotextile under the geocell fines cannot wash through and clog the system.
Cellular confinement systems can be used as an alternative to Rip Rap rock armouring where suitable large rock is not available. However, in areas of high flow velocity, geocells filled with small rocks are generally not a suitable replacement and concrete mats should be used.
It is utilized in horizontal applications and provide a honeycomb style reinforcement of aggregate or soil by confining materials and preventing lateral movement away from the applied load. It serves as a means to increase the load-bearing capacity of a given area, and it does so by distributing said load over each of the different cells, which are filled with the aggregate of your choosing. These cells can be filled with a variety of different aggregates and other lower-quality materials, and can be installed under grass, pavers, and gravel. If you choose to fill with gravel we also carry gravel ok, a clear and permeable binder that further aids in load distribution.

Prepare the area by removing old soil, vegetation and debris.
Put a sub-base layer if necessary and grade as necessary.
Pin down one of our drainage fabrics or ground covers if necessary for separation and stability.
Stake out the Geocell's using rebar, stakes or large anchor pins. If necessary cut Geocell ahead of time with a hand saw (recipricating saw works great).
Fill the Geocell with your soil, sand, gravel or rock material and rake level.
